    Stephen Knowles

    Principal, HDR, Inc.

    Mr. Knowles' professional experience includes master planning, site and building design, to interior and furniture design. He has a strong interest in the craft of our built environments and its role as a backdrop for contemporary culture. With over 30 years of experience in architecture and design, his goal is to seek innovative and sensitive design solutions by taking into account the site, surrounding resources, and local culture. Mr. Knowles' projects have received local, regional, and national AIA awards recognition, ID, and Business Week awards. These projects have been published in Architecture, ID, Architectural Record, and Business Week magazine. He works on large scale projects for workplace, higher education, healthcare, and hospitality with a studio culture committed to design excellence.
