Fifty-three stained-glass windows by celebrated Dallas artist Jean Lacy transform our sanctuary into a place of worship, memory, and learning.
Together, the windows carry Biblical stories alongside the history, faith, struggle, and hope of African American life. Visitors from near and far come to experience this singular work of sacred art.

Richie Butler became senior pastor of St. Luke Community UMC in July 2020. His ministry brings together faith, service, and a commitment to building people and community.
Beyond the pulpit, Richie is a visionary in community development. As a private equity real estate fund manager, he spearheaded Unity Estates—a groundbreaking 285-home development in Southern Dallas sponsored by a coalition of pastors, catalyzing over $100M in new regional development.
A passionate advocate for reconciliation and progress, he founded Project Unity, launching initiatives like 'Together We Ball' to bridge gaps between law enforcement and the community, and the 'Year of Unity' following the 2016 Dallas ambushes.
